TO MY FIGHTING MOM!
“As mothers and daughters, we are connected with one another. My mother is the bones of
my spine, keeping me straight and true. She is my blood, making sure it runs rich and strong.
She is the beating of my heart. I cannot now imagine a life without her.” This is how the
award-winning and bestselling American writer who has won numerous awards
Kristin Hannah defined her mother-daughter relationship with her mom.
Personally, I grew up seeing how hardworking my mom is. Mom is self-employed and she's
into business even before she had me. She does everything to raise us her kids, of course
with dad's helping hands. She never failed to remind us her kids how important education is
and with that we should be thankful that they're able to send us to good schools. Last month,
I blogged about my graduation and there you knew she wasn't able to attend my big day
because she's been going through something specifically on her health.
Also last month when mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer . Of course that was just so
heartbreaking when the doctor informed us about her condition. Once, I had a breakdown in
my bedroom but no one in the family noticed that because I don't want to show that I felt so
weak that time. of course mom's not allowed to see weakness from any of the family
members. As of today, mom has undergone 2 chemotherapy and if I'm not mistaken, she'll
continue her next chemos for the next 3 months.
I must say! I am really proud of the strength that my mom shows whenever she has a chemo.
She don't also want us to feel like we can't smile even if she's going through the heaviest trial
she'll ever face in her life and I really thank God for that! AMEN!
I LOVE YOU MOM and I hope you get well soon! XOXO ;)
